Our lab investigates how carbon and nutrient cycles are affected by permafrost degradation, agriculture, and other kinds of disturbance. We are currently investigating the biogeochemistry and hydrology of ecosystems in Alaska, France, and Utah. We are also using expert assessment methods to understand how subsea permafrost and global wildfire will respond to climate change.

If you are interested in joining the lab, we have opportunities for 1-3 undergraduate students and 1-2 graduate students in the coming academic year.
